Superintendent's Message

Dear Mokena School District Community,

As we close the 2016-2017 school year and celebrate our graduates, retirees, and reflect about this school year, I am excited about our future possibilities.  As I complete my fourth year as the superintendent of this wonderful school district, I am proud of the successes we've had thus far.  The district is on the move to great things.

This year brought many new challenges and initiatives to our district.  Next school year will bring even greater transformation in our schools and classrooms.  What’s even more impressive is the fortitude and diligence that Mokena educators have displayed when faced with these new challenges. They are passionate individuals who are student-centered and who understand the power we have to inspire, motivate, and educate.  We are committed to making our school district the best place to learn and work.

See you on August 23rd; the first day of school for the 2017-2018 school year, I hope you have a fun and safe summer!

Sincerely,

Dr. Omar Castillo
